Band Supply List

ALL BAND CLASSES

Band Locker (provided by band fee – school issued locks)

Band Instrument
• Family Owned Instrument OR
• Rental from a local vendor (info on following page) OR
• Rental of school instruments are available for $50 per year (limited supplies)

Band Uniform
• Band Shirt (included in $50.00 Band Fee)
• Completely Black Dress Pants, Completely Black Socks and Completely Black Closed-Toe Dress Shoes (purchased independently)


BEGINNING BAND/BAND 1 (2nd/3rd/7th Periods)

Musical Supplies
• Standard of Excellence Book 1 (Purchased from the Band Room with instrument rental)
• Theory Workbook (Provided with Band Fee)
• Brass: Players Need a black small towel or wash cloth
• Brass: Valve oil (rotor oil for French Horns)
• Clarinets and Saxophones: Reeds (at least three that are size 2.5 or 3)

School Supplies

• A black folder (no prongs) for music and handouts
• Pencil (each day)
• Highlighters (at least 4 colors)


WIND ENSEMBLE (4th Period)/SYMPHONIC BAND (6th Period)

Musical Supplies:
• Method Book (Provided with Band Fee)
• Theory Workbook (Provided with Band Fee)
• Brass Players: small black towel
• Brass Players: Valve oil (rotor oil for French Horns)
• Clarinets and Saxophones: Reeds (at least three that are size 2.5 or 3)

School Supplies:
• Black 1 inch, 3 ring binder
• Clear Plastic Insert Pages (at least 20 – Jazz Students at least 40)
• Pencils/Highlighter

Percussion Kit (Vic Firth Intermediate Education Pack Recommended)
• Practice Pad – at least 8 inches (labeled with student name)
• 2 Sets Snare Drum Sticks (Different sizes – labeled with student name)
• Hard Xylophone mallets (labeled with student name)
• Yarn Xylophone mallets (labeled with student name)
• Timpani mallets (labeled with student name)
• Stick Bag (labeled with student name)
• Small Black Handtowel (labeled with student name)
